A new era begins...

Yep, I finally broke down and got myself one of them fancy Cintiq contraptions...see photo above. I can't wait to get down to doing some work on it....stay tuned for the results.

Critical response - expanded edition.

As some loyal readers to this humble blog may remember, my last film "The Waif of Persephone" was given a short, terse review by noted animation historian, Michael Barrier after seeing a screening of it at the 2008 Ottawa Animation Festival.
Recently, he purchased a DVD and promised to give it a second look. His new review can be found here.
Although, I don't agree with all of his opinions, I really have to tip my hat to him for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review.

In other news, "Yellow Cake", my newest film has been put on a tiny hiatus as I shift my workload over to a half-hour cartoon pilot for Teletoon. A production blog for that project can be found here. However, that doesn't mean this blog will go unattended in the meantime. Updates, artwork and news will still be forthcoming....

The greatest artist in the history of cartooning is now online. I cannot begin to overstate the influence his work has had on me. Click here for the brilliance...and if you don't agree, I pity you....

I heard the news today, oh boy....

Okay...so, I guess it's official. A concept dreamed up by Troy Little and myself a while ago has been greenlight for a pilot by Teletoon. The project is called "Angora Napkin".


We've set up a production blog type-thing here which will contain all the news that's fit to blog.

This is pretty crazy news.... I'm pretty excited about this...now we've just got to make the damn thing.

More Yellow animation, my friends

I gotta give you some straight talk my friends, it's a tough war we're in. It's not going to be over right away. There's going to be other wars. I'm sorry to tell you, there's going to be other wars. We will never surrender but there will be other wars.
